Who Frimpong is

Jeremie Frimpong is a Dutch right-back, born in Amsterdam in 2000 and of Ghanaian descent, who came through Manchester City's academy and played for Celtic and Bayer Leverkusen before joining Liverpool on May 30, 2025 (Wikipedia). He wears number 30. Not to be confused with Emmanuel Frimpong, the former Arsenal midfielder, whose old TV interviews also circulate on TikTok (FourFourTwo).

The formats fans made

The hype edit

After LASK, fans posted goal edits and "Frimpong the goat" clips. One post joked that he had more October goals and assists than Manchester United (TikTok).

The cameo joke

After Brentford the tone flipped. Clips like "Bro just walked a bit" (TikTok) play on how short his appearance was. These jokes are about the cameo, not about wishing him harm; the injury is real and Liverpool has not given a return date.

AI "slander" clips

Some creators made AI versions of match moments, tagging the AI app Viggle, such as a "LASK vs Liverpool" clip under #slander (TikTok).

It puts you, from one photo, in a plain orange kit on a floodlit pitch for the whole routine: sprint, slide, collapse, instant recovery and a knee-slide celebration. 10 seconds, 720p, with crowd and whistle sound, ready in about 3 to 4 minutes.
